Arnie Gets an Face Lift – Adopted

It was last September that we received Arnie and his sibling Jack. While Jack appeared to be in good health, Arnie had some serious issues, that his Foster, Jackie took very seriously. Arnie’s before photos look bad, but what you don’t see is the major sections of hair-loss, the condition of his coat, and his emaciated state. Jackie started Arnie on a raw food diet, and Arnie underwent some serious grooming.

While huge areas of his body were literally bald, he began to put on weight, his hair grew back, and not did his coat improve, but his eyes did as well.

While this metamorphosis took place, Arnie also received a lot of socialization, training, attention, and love.

Arnie today is extremely affec-tionate, playful and noble like a real collie should be. He’s a joy to foster. He’s worked hard to get to where he is, and he’s ready for his forever home.

Adoption Update:

I can’t seem to find the cable for my camera, but I got a lot of good shots earlier. Once he had some time with just me — we bonded big time. We went to the park and walked for two hours! We ran, we played, we rolled in the grass. He’s so diligent and loyal. I got a great dog. The best part? We played fetch for about 15 minutes. Then he lost interest. And now he’s sleeping on the big wool rug in front of my tv. We’re watching Cesar Millan – the dog whisperer. I had to mute it because the angry German Shepherd upset him. 🙁 But once I told him it was ok he laid his head in my lap and stared up at me like we were meant to be.

I’m so happy! If I can’t find the cable for this camera I’ll take some shots with my manual one and have them developed.
