Dottie the Family Dog-Adopted

Dottie’s owner writes: Dottie is a one-year old sheltie / border collie mix. She is very good with children and other dogs. She has lived with my family for the past year and has been a real blessing. I have six kids and two dogs. Unfortunately, my husband lost his job back in April and our home is in foreclosure. We have to move and the place we have to stay will not allow ANY dogs. We love Dottie and are very, very sad to see her go. I would like to see her go to the best home possible, because she is a fabulous dog to have around. Very loyal to her owner and super affectionate. I am attaching some pictures of her with the other dog and our two youngest children. She is very patient and loving and will be a great friend.

Thank you,
Jennifer

Dottie is on her way to our rescue, and we’re confident that she won’t be with us long! With regard to her breed identification, I’m anxious to meet Dottie so I can determine if there’s any Sheltie in her whatsoever. She looks just like Ranger and Lady Di to me.

Update: appears that this gorgeous girl was adopted from a local rescue last year, unspayed. When contacted the rescue said they could not take her back, they are full, yet my vet says they are still taking in puppies. Dottie was dropped off by her Jennifer to Aloma Jancy, vetted and spayed before I even picked her up. It amazes me how these non-profit, 501c3 approved rescues do not spay/neuter, and do not take back the dogs that are truly their responsibility once rescued.

11/14/10: Dottie was adopted by a wonderful family! Looking forward to updates soon!
