Halo the Bossie Puppy ~ Adopted

Halo the Bossie Puppy ~ Adopted
Gentle little girl

Halo is one of a litter of six puppies, the offspring of a Border Collie and Australian Shepherd.  Born in mid-May, they were surrendered to Kandy of Second Chance Rescue in Alabama.  We were contacted by Becky, asking if we would take them.  The answer was a resounding yes!  Kandy kept them for two weeks, until they were 8 weeks old and healthy enough for travel.  And travel they did, in style!  Jeff and Jackie flew them here on their private plane, sparing them a long car ride.  Thank you Kandy, Becky, Jeff and Jackie!!!

These darling puppies have become my “H” puppies:  Halo, Helo, Harper, Hopper, Hopscotch and Hodgepodge.  I fondly refer to these puppies as my Deja Vu litter, as most of them remind me of some of my previous puppies.   Halo is all black except for the tips of her toes.  Her fur is a bit longer than her brother Helo’s.

How cute am I!?!

July 15th Update:

Yesterday little Halo was spayed and is now ready for her forever home.  She’s really doing great.  She loves to be held and cuddle.  She’s a little bit of a faker too ~ if one of the other dogs are playing around her, she’ll cry like she was trampled and then look over at me to see if I’m going to rush over to pick her up!  Seriously?  She just cracks me up!

Going home with Denise

July 17th Update:

Halo is headed home! Denise and John’s red Aussie Sydney passed away last September of heart failure. Even Abby the cat misses having a dog around. Little Halo? Well, she’s just perfect!

  1. We are looking for the perfect puppy for our family and are very interested in adopting Halo.

We have a 14 year old Border Collie/Cocker Spaniel mix, and a 7-1/2 year old Aussie. Both girls.

    How can we meet Halo?
