Kittens? You What? ~ Adopted!

As I posted on Facebook, last Saturday, my daughter Sarah went to the park with some friends, and they heard tiny kittens crying.  They found them living in a tree trunk, and rescued all five of them.  The fact that I’m highly allergic to cats didn’t seem to stop my daughter one bit!  She called me and she was screaming, and begging for me to take them.  “We can’t just leave them here Mommy, it’s cold, and they have no food.  They are just babies!”

Oh Brother!

Less than an hour later, she and her friends walked into my house with five baby kittens.  I expected to see just average alley cats, but no!  I was shocked!  They are gorgeous.

They all tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids!  They are  getting all of their shots and being spayed/neutered and microchipped today. Even though their fecal test was negative, we are going to give them a de-wormer, just to be safe.  I just can’t believe how lucky we are that they are all very healthy!  We estimate that they are 12 weeks old and born approximately November 24th, 2011.

I’ll start with the largest male, Kibbles.  He’s 2 pounds, 15 ounces.  He’s a long-haired Tabby, and very stunning!  Click Here to see more photos of Kibbles.

 

The runt of the litter is Bits!  He prefers to be under the pile, and he is a bit shy.  He too is a long-haired Tabby.  Click Here to see more photos of Bits.

 

Cheese is my daughter’s favorite.  He is very playful.  He is 2 pounds, 13 ounces and the Vet indicated that he’s a Flame Point Siamese.  Click Here to see more photos of Cheese.

 

Cookie Dough is the only Female.  She and Cheese play together a lot!  She is 2 pounds, 15 ounces, and the Vet indicated that she is a Snow Shoe Siamese.   Click Here to see more photos of Cookie Dough.

 

Next is Mischief, who has been adopted. Mischief is said to be a Lynx Point Siamese. He’s the quiet one.  Click Here to see more photos of Mischief.

That wraps up my daughter’s first rescue…. kittens!  I’d like to thank both of my children for handling the kittens and getting them socialized, and Emily Kennedy for helping me tend to them and take them to the vet with me, with my claritin and eye drops by my side!
