Leo the Love Muffin-Adopted

Leo was rescued by Dale Parrent from Athens, AL and his Alabama foster, Melissa Murphree. There’s much to share about Leo!

Melissa writes:

Leo is a super sweet dog that loves to be with people. He is dog friendly with big dogs and small dogs too. He also does not mind cats. He’s not hyper but not one to be lazy and never play. His favorite toys are a tennis ball and a frisbee. He’s a super smart boy and learned how to sit, down and stay in one week. Leo has a loyal personality and is delighted to please his human. He loves to ride in a car, go for walks, and lay at your feet. He is potty trained and does pretty good walking on a leash. Leo is an extremely fast learner! He would make excellent companion dog for a family or an individual.

Gisele I’m not sure how Leo is with children because I did not have a chance to expose him to any. He’s good with men and women. I hope this paragraph is okay. He really is a great dog and I sure did hate to hand him over to transport yesterday morning! He’s going to make a family or individual very very happy. Let me know if you need anything else. Has Leo arrived yet?

Melissa

Since Leo has arrived here, he has been a real joy to foster. He gets along with the pack, loves the kids, is very friendly, and will make someone an awesome dog. I can guess that he is probably around 2 years old. He is a tri-color, and much to my surprise, he does not have a full tail, but he is NOT an Aussie.

More photos of Leo coming soon!

Update 08/27/10: Leo was adopted today by the Mailander family! He kind of adopted them, and didn’t give them a choice in the matter. He jumped into the back of their car and never looked back! Leo will have 3 kids to have fun with!

Sept 10 update from Amy Mailander

Leo is still speaking with us even after the Vet and a bath. Will send more photos soon.

  1. My name is Maryam Ramirez and we're coming by on Friday to meet Dixie and some of your other dogs to see if we can add a couple of furry little friends to our family and I was curious if we would be able to meet Leo while we're out there? Assuming Dixie likes us as much as I think we're going to like her, she'll need to help us choose her perfect sibling, but Leo seems like he might be a great contender!
