Oliver was adopted by Caren.  She met Oliver at K-9 Coach where he was attending play care with her other BC Shep. My dogs were all there playing while I work.  I was getting my pack into the car one by one and she asked about Oliver. It was love at first sight when I told her he was available for adoption. Caren wanted a buddy for Shep so that they could play and entertain each other. Caren is very active with the dogs, attending training classes at K9 Coach, playing frisbee with the dogs, hiking. She even wants to try her hand at sheep herding! Did you hear that Oliver!!!!! You just made his day! They make such a wonderful family and I get to see them several times a week! Oliver always is glad to see me, but happier to see his new mom!  That look of worry is gone from his face now and instead there is a smile. Thank you Caren for giving Oliver such a wonderful, loving home! He so deserves it, he is one special boy!~vicki

Oliver is as stunning intellectually as he is visually. Around 35lbs, he is the perfect “on the go” size!

And and an “On the go” lifestyle is exactly what he needs!
If you’re used to living your life in slow-motion, it’s best you click the “back” button now and check out some of our other dogs, like Casey Rose, or Weatherly.

This gives a new meaning to "working dog", eh?

If you’re here on the look out for your next running partner, agility, or herding prospect, or just an active individual (or couple) looking for that perfect fit, I implore you to consider our boy Oliver.

Oliver is an owner-surrender, given to us with a very heavy heart. His former family loved, and loves Oliver very dearly, but they recognize that he is not a good mesh with their lifestyle, and have kindly allowed The Dog Liberator to find him the home he deserves. He is great with other dogs, cats, and people, but would be better suited for a home without small children, only because his herding instinct is very strong–as it should be!

He is a Border Collie, after all!

Smart as a tack, with killer looks, personality, and work ethic Oliver is a real steal. Currently, he is being fostered by his former owner, but will soon be making a trip up to North GA to live with
Vicki Trulove; “Aunt Vicki” as Steve and I have so aptly named her!

Looking regal as ever!

More updates, photos and information on Oliver will be posted as he reveals himself to Vicki, but until then, check out his photo album!
If you’re still interested in seeing more, check out this video of Oliver’s first interaction with sheep! can you say potential? I think so!

Oliver is currently in the Atlanta, GA area.

Update: Oct. 3: Oliver arrived at the farm yesterday. He is doing well and particularly interested in all the smells! We took a long pack walk yesterday to welcome Oliver to the pack! He seemed to really enjoy it. The neighbors were feeding cows and of course the cows were being very vocal about their dinner!  Oliver was very interested in their smells and what they had to say!

We spent some time at the barn and he met horses and Miss Kitty, played ball, and frisbee and then a dinner of Spot’s Stew! Oliver then passed out tired and a full belly! He is a loving boy!~vicki

Oliver taking in the sights and smells!

Update Oct. 7: Oliver had his first off leash hike to the river yesterday! He did great on his recall and stayed right with me. He enjoyed running and playing, not so sure about the river yet! Oliver is getting use to living in a pack and starting to have fun again! He is extremely smart and loves to learn!!!! ~vicki

  1. Is OLIVER still available? I’d like to see more pix if you have any, or video…….really considering….we have three dogs, live on 4 acres totally fenced, and it’s a ‘doggie dream homeland’…..thanks.
