The Dog Liberator™

The Dog Liberator rescues abandoned dogs throughout the Southeast. Based in Central Florida, this non-profit organization fosters all of their dogs in a home environment. Founded in 2009, all dogs are fully vetted, spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Pip Squeak, the Baby-Adopted!

This little pup was pulled by Hope from Walker County Animal Shelter in Georgia.

Pip Squeak is a hoot! Besides needing a bath, she looks very healthy. She could afford to put on a few more pounds, and she too will be seeing the vet soon! Pip Squeak appears to have a medium coat, she’s very intelligent, and once she gets some much needed rest, I’ll be putting her with Lady Di and Ozzie so that they can give her a heavy dose of puppy pack manners. Remember the way Lady Di groomed Ranger? Well, both Ozzie and Lady Di seem to take puppies under their wing. Ozzie plays, and Lady Di corrects! It’s what puppies need when they have been taken away from their moms too early. Without this experience, some pups develop dominance issues later on, but NOT here!

Update, new video of Lil’ Sheila and Pip Squeak!

Talk about good temperament! Here’s Lil’ Sheila and Pip Squeak patiently waiting for Rocket to enjoy play time! Patience is a virtue!

Pip Squeak was adopted today! I can’t wait for updates!

Update 9/21/10

I just wanted to update you on how Onyx (PipSqueak) has been doing. Just to remind you, she was adopted by me and my boyfriend, Chris, and our dog Kahlua back in May!…

We’re still completely in love with her! Thanks so much! She’s about 42 pounds now, the vet says she won’t get any bigger (which is great, because our apartment has a 35lb limit!). She LOVES to play with Kahlua, and to chew on chairs.. (naughty girl). We take her for walks a lot, and she does pretty well on the leash. We also taught her a few tricks, like hi-fives and stuff! She does love the beach, but she likes to go up to people.. and since dogs aren’t allowed on the beach, we don’t let her down too often unless it’s completely empty. We were hoping she’d be more excited about water, but so far she’s just pretty much afraid 🙁 She was also afraid of stairs without backing.. but Kahlua and Chris and I slowly taught her that they are safe enough! She LOVES the Frisbee now though, or a good fetching toy (other than Kahlua… Kahlua is definitely her favorite plaything!)

She eats a ton, but knows to leave Kahlua’s bowl alone, and she LOVES people and to just be ON us. She can’t just lay next to you, she has to either have a giant floppy paw ON you, or her head on you. She’s just a sweet little girl with a happy little smile. I can’t wait to send you some more photos of her. I’m really looking forward to her first Halloween and Christmas!

I have a friend who is looking for a puppy (like Onyx, but smaller). I’ve been checking on your website for any new little options for him! I hope you enjoy the photos, and I’m sorry I haven’t sent any since!

Ashlee, Chris, Kahlua, and Onyx
