The Dog Liberatorâ„¢

The Dog Liberator rescues abandoned dogs throughout the Southeast. Based in Central Florida, this non-profit organization fosters all of their dogs in a home environment. Founded in 2009, all dogs are fully vetted, spayed or neutered prior to adoption. The Dog Liberator focuses in rescuing the herding breed, which consists of Border Collies, Shepherds, Sheepdogs, Aussies, Collies, and Deaf/Blind Dogs.

Taking a Much Needed Break

While we still have some great dogs waiting for forever homes, we are no longer accepting any new rescues at this time.

It appears that we successfully re-homed over 80 dogs from July 2009 – February 2010.

We’ve found loving homes for 5 heart worm positive dogs:
Jackson Browne, Brooke (Holly), Reed’s Bandit, Gisele, and Spartan.

2 emaciated dogs:
Jackson Browne and Stella

2 dogs with a bad leg:
Flash Gordon and Betty Boop

At least a dozen or more unsocialized dogs, including my lovely Shannon!

Seven months of great successful stories.

It has been an honor.

Gisele
