Travis Blaze – Adopted

I realize that I have not posted about Shannon yet, the young hitchhiker that came to me with Flash, and I apologize for that. But I just have to post this story right away.

This morning, my dearest friend Susan, sent me a copy of a post that was on craig’s list about a young border collie. Well, if you don’t know yet how I feel about posting a dog on craig’s list, you should watch the Shader video I did for Pet Rescue by Judy.

It was about 10:00 AM when I called Mr. Blaise to get more information. We talked about the dog, that he had named Onyx, and he informed me that Onyx showed up at his door one morning. He has kept the dog for 3 weeks, hoping to find his home. Because of his personal situation, and the destructive nature of a young Border Collie, he made a decision to find the dog a good home. I got the impression that this was a hard decision for Mr. Blaise… he really likes this little dog.

He emailed me a photo of the dog, and I confirmed that he is probably a pure bred. I shared with him this blog, and he immediately drove him his home in Orlando and delivered the dog to my home. While the Onyx was being driven to me, I shared the story with my son, Ryan, and Ryan decided to name the dog Travis Blaze! So Blaze it is!

Mr. Blaise and I met with his dog, and I introduced Shannon, then Ozzie, and then Tinsel Town. There were no issues whatsoever, except that everyone really wanted to play! Blaze also seemed to be interested in my 2 children. I felt that this new dog, named Blaze, was a very well-balanced dog. Blaze also enjoyed sharing my daughter’s baby pool! Ah Ha! A water dog!

Mr. Blaise graciously offered to help me pay for Blaze’s vetting and neuter, and I accepted!

Blaze whimpered a bit when Travis left, but I brought him into the house, and put him in his large and quite beautiful crate, and rewarded him with his own soup bone. He hasn’t made a sound!

I’ll keep you posted!

Travis Blaze was adopted by a wonderful family, with a pool, and 2 very energetic children. They will keep him busy and happy! Congrats!
