Tuck Me In Escapes Euthanasia – Adopted

A high-kill shelter in North Florida contacted me regarding this Basenji. The dog was scheduled to be euthanized today, instead, he’s being transported to me. “Tuck Me In” is approximately 2 years old. Tuck Me In is scheduled to be transported to my “border collie boot camp” on August 29th.

Update: Tuck is awesome! He has been totally vetted and neutered, and he gaining his self-confidence. No doubt, this cute little boy has been abused.

Good Save!

Update 10/08/09: Tuck was adopted last night by the Davidson’s. Their little dog Baxter is full of energy, and needs a playmate. Both are very submissive dogs, and did very well together. I can’t wait to hear what kind of trouble these two little boys get into!

  1. Hi Gisele. Tuck is well. I took him to the vet on Saturday and got him microchipped and a bath/nail clipping. They said he is healthy and in good shape….. He is adjusting well. He’s a good boy, sleeps through the night, goes in his crate easily, and loves to follow us around and be wherever we are. He always wants to sit right next to you. It is cute. The one concern I have is that he has only gone poo once, on Saturday afternoon. Baxter is very regular, and goes three times a day, so I’m concerned. How often does Tuck normally go?? Once a day?

As for Tuck and Baxter, I’d say it’s a work in progress. We’re a little concerned b/c it seems that Baxter doesn’t really like him so far. We are hoping that they will warm up in the next few days. I’ll keep you posted.
