The Dog Liberatorâ„¢

The Dog Liberator rescues abandoned dogs throughout the Southeast. Based in Central Florida, this non-profit organization fosters all of their dogs in a home environment. Founded in 2009, all dogs are fully vetted, spayed or neutered prior to adoption. The Dog Liberator focuses in rescuing the herding breed, which consists of Border Collies, Shepherds, Sheepdogs, Aussies, Collies, and Deaf/Blind Dogs.

Ariel the Aussie is Safe!

Dale Parrent rescued Ariel from Athens Dog Pound. She is 4 1/2 years old, about 25 pounds, spayed, up-to-date on shots, and is heartworm negative. She suffered some stress while at the pound, but is on her way to becoming healthy again with her new foster, Deb Gaylord, and she is awaiting transport to us.

Deb has a housefull of other animals, some of which are fosters, so I’m confident that Deb will be able to give us a good idea of Ariel’s temperament soon. In the meantime, Deb reports that Ariel is beautiful, small, and sweet. Ariel is a little bit scared, but settling in nicely.

Updates and photos coming soon, and will be posted on Ariel’s photo album on Facebook!

Update: Ariel is on her way to our rescue. Her foster says she’s a wonderful dog. I’m looking forward to meeting her this weekend.
