The Dog Liberatorâ„¢

The Dog Liberator rescues abandoned dogs throughout the Southeast. Based in Central Florida, this non-profit organization fosters all of their dogs in a home environment. Founded in 2009, all dogs are fully vetted, spayed or neutered prior to adoption. The Dog Liberator focuses in rescuing the herding breed, which consists of Border Collies, Shepherds, Sheepdogs, Aussies, Collies, and Deaf/Blind Dogs.

Jet the Border Collie Boy – Adopted

More information and better photos coming soon.

Update: Jet is on his way, and already two volunteers, who have met him, have emailed me telling me how gorgeous and wonderful he is. So I suppose, much like the other stunning Border Collies that have traveled here, Jet will make a lasting impression! He’s traveling the same way so many other wonderful dogs have, like Flash, Tim Tebow, Spock, Mel, Shannon, Trixie, and Smores. We can’t wait to meet him tonight.

12/20/09 Update: Jet is stunning. He will be introduced to the pack this afternoon, and more photos coming soon!

Jet was adopted! He’s setteling into his new home, with the Price family and is doing great! They love him!
Here we recognize and thank those volunteers throughout the Southeast, especially those in Alabama, who rescue dogs like Jet for us.

  1. Jet rocks. Jet rolls. Jet is such a border collie and is primed for a job/training. I spent about 10 minutes training him to walk on a leash and that's it-that's all it took! He is food motivated and learns SO FAST! He's going to be a hoot to train because he is so hungry for more knowledge. Oh, I forgot. He's huge and hugely handsome.
