Laddie~RIP

Today is Laddie’s birthday.  He is six years old.  We don’t know where he came from originally, he was owner-surrendered to us on Sunday.  He weighs approximately 65 pounds, and Brittney will fill us in on the details.  He was shaved down, and several ticks were found on him.  He is very much a velcro dog, and is fully trained.  He loves go to for car rides, and is pretty much a coach potato!  You can see more photos of him on Facebook.

Not shocked at all to find out that Brittney and her family had a family meet, and have decided to keep Laddie.  Foster Failures are expected in rescue, and who could resist a fully trained Collie?  Not me!

It is with deep sadness that I share with you, Laddie’s passing this morning. Brittney Myers shared that he died in his sleep. Laddie was an owner-surrender, and after Brittney decided to keep him she learned that he had a state three heart murmur. Laddie died knowing the love of family, children and being part of a pack that loved him. RIP Laddie, you may be gone but you will never be forgotten.
