wanna play?

Rocky Road is a stinking cute aussie mix puppy about 2 months old! Rocky was picked up stray in north georgia and taken to a high kill shelter. When I saw this poor baby all alone I could only imagine how he had ended up all by himself…

Last year, I rescued 2 females from this same shelter, also picked up stray in the same area, who looked as if they might be related to him. They are living in New England and are wonderful dogs! I kept begging for someone to take him, but adoptions are so slow now, rescues are full…I watched and begged until a volunteer told me…it’s time….

Not on my watch! Rocky Road deserved to have a chance at love and life. The look in his eyes is so trusting and loving, confused as to why he was in the shelter, missing his mom, my only response was a promise, I will save you, it will be ok, I promise.

This sweet boy has proven to be such a sweetheart. He is loving with people and other dogs. So far no potty mistakes in the house!(the girls that i think are his sisters never did either!)
He’s a puppy full of life! Loves to play and sleep!

Look in to those eyes and ask yourself if you can give him the love he deserves and help me keep my promise to him.~vicki

UPDATE! November 16: Rocky has shown himself to be so smart and attentive. He’s had no potty mistakes in the house, can already sit, has great focus! He sticks close by and never complains. He likes to play ball and play with other dogs.

Rocky accompanied his foster parents for lunch at a lovely outdoor cafe in beautiful downtown Dahlonega. Riding in the back of the SUV was a little different but Rocky quickly adjusted and sat looking out the back window. The kind waitress brought him a bowl of water and he sat patiently waiting until lunch was over. Several people commented on how adorable and well behaved he was. A very small child came to pet him and he loved it, he just loves everyone. Then on to Tractor Supply for a dog food run, a walk around the store and some socialization. Rocky wasn’t fearful in the least. He walked right through the automatic doors like he owned the place. Walking beside the shopping cart was no problem either. He enjoyed it when people petted him and he got lots of compliments about his calm nature. One person said Rocky’s hair reminded him of Tina Turner…I would have to agree now that I think about it.
