The Dog Liberatorâ„¢

The Dog Liberator rescues abandoned dogs throughout the Southeast. Based in Central Florida, this non-profit organization fosters all of their dogs in a home environment. Founded in 2009, all dogs are fully vetted, spayed or neutered prior to adoption. The Dog Liberator focuses in rescuing the herding breed, which consists of Border Collies, Shepherds, Sheepdogs, Aussies, Collies, and Deaf/Blind Dogs.

Bernadette is approximately 7 months of age.  She is a standard purebred black and white Border Collie.  She has been fully vetted, spayed and micro chipped.  She was found on a good Samaritan’s door step, covered with mange.  She is being treated, and it is NOT contagious.  She is very friendly, and incredibly intelligent.  When the good Samaritan brought her to our vet, they said, “no problem!”

Photos will be published when available.

Update:  Bernadette was adopted, and will be trained to be a service and companion dog!

  1. She is gorgeous! Reminds me of my Marley who passed away three years ago at 16 yrs old. Still feel like part of my heart is missing, there is nothing like a Border Collie.

Live in Oregon on 3 fenced acres surrounded by national forest. Two mini-Aussie boys, sweet and non-dominant, share everything. Would love to give this sweet girl a home – but don’t know if you adopt out of state?

Always had BC’s and Aussies, sometimes mixes of the two. Have three cats and a mustang mare – all our animals are rescues.

Thank you for the sacred work you are doing with these precious beings so attuned to the human heart:>)
    Cynthia
