Starbuck, the Gorgeous Aussie – Adopted

Rescued by Randy in Valdosta, Georgia, Randy and his daughter, Amy previously rescued Mel, the Magnificent Border Collie, who was quickly adopted by Tina.

Randy and his daughter Amy volunteer at their local humane society, and noticed a gorgeous Aussie puppy. For reasons that I can not share at this time, Randy personally adopted the pup, arranged for him to be vetted and neutered, and asked me to find him a perfect home.

Originally, Rhonda Gay was very interested in Starbuck, but after I shared with her his potential size at maturity, she explained that she wanted a smaller dog, and a dog that is older. Thanks to Rebecca, we found Rhonda Daisy, who has been renamed Pepper. So in a sense, Starbuck opened up the opportunity for Rhonda to find the dog she has always wanted, a young adult Aussie, that is under 40 pounds.

Before I could even see a photo of the pup, I suggested he be named Starbuck, a name that my son created, and Randy agreed! I believe we have found Starbuck a perfect home, but stay tuned for the details!

Thanks Randy!

Starbuck has been adopted by Laura and her family. I can’t wait to read updates on how her children feel when they first meet him. Officer Starbuck is going to love his new family!
