A local Aussie Rescue asked us to take in three adult Australian Shepherds last week.  Jessica Hitchcock offered to pull and transport.  How could we say no?  Here’s Jack, aka Stonewall Jackson!

His foster from Oviedo, Jessica writes: (Jack) Stonewall Jackson – Jack is a flashy blue merle, all-personality Aussie boy with “more charm than he knows what to do with.” He is a clever and curious pup, about 8-10 months old, who seems to have a heart for adventure. His perky-prick ears are more than just cute — they seem to contain his fun radar. He noticed a possum-like critter in the backyard early in the morning, and had loads of fun encouraging it to hasty retreat! He will be neutered next week, and he will need to continue working on basic commands and walking on leash. His house-training is going very well.

Stonewall Jackson has been adopted by Jenna Ashby of Orlando. Photos and updates coming soon!

The best wish comes true for Stonewall Jackson

August 3rd Updated:

Stonewall Jackson has been adopted. Jenn had originally contacted us about Cheez-It but he’d already been placed. I sent her a photo of Jack and she fell in love. This busy family and their Border Collie Daisy will give “Jack-Jack” a home full of love, activity and leadership. The children standing in the photo ~ Douglas, Lauren and Thomas ~ are all participating in the University of Doglando’s summer camp program this week! To think a week ago Jack was in a shelter’s cold cement kennel, about to be put to sleep. Today is he surrounded by love. This, my friends, is what rescue is about!

  1. Jack jack he’s up and moving about the house and has actually explored the whole house up stairs and down stairs. We can tell already that he is a intelligent dog and will prove a excellent friend for daisy.
