The Dog Liberator rescues abandoned dogs throughout the Southeast. Based in Central Florida, this non-profit organization fosters all of their dogs in a home environment. Founded in 2009, all dogs are fully vetted, spayed or neutered prior to adoption. The Dog Liberator focuses in rescuing the herding breed, which consists of Border Collies, Shepherds, Sheepdogs, Aussies, Collies, and Deaf/Blind Dogs.

I left a comment on Shy Katie's page as well, but i just wanted to add that asia's story breaks my heart. i have never had a deaf dog before, so i dont know what that would take, but with a little education, i would love to consider her as well. she just needs patience and understanding. i have a deaf cousin actually, and while a dog is not a person (obviously) many of the basics are the same, "different but not less" comes to mind. any additional info would be appreciated!
