Rebecca the Border Collie ~ Adopted

RebeccaThis gorgeous girl was quickly adopted by Gary Henderson of the Villages.  Gary has been waiting for that perfect Border Collie to call his own!  You can see more of her photos on Facebook.

an Awesome Aussie!

Sydney prefers to be the only dog in the home.  She gets along with other dogs outdoors, and plays well in backyards or dog parks, but does not want to share her home indoors with another dog.  She is currently being fostered in the Bossier City, Louisiana area by Rex Howard.

Rex shares that Sydney is very submissive, intelligent, obedient and loving. Rex also believes that Sydney is closer to 12 months of age, much younger than we originally thought.

History:  Dale Parrent sent me this photo and I fell in love. When I was trying to pull her, I learned that another rescue was taking her, and I was relieved. What I didn’t know is that other rescue was me, because Deb Gaylord drove to pick her up! Both Dale and Deb have the eye for TDL dogs, and they’ve done it again…. Welcome, Syndey! She is young, gorgeous and heartworm negative!

She comes to us from Colbert County Animal Shelter in Tuscumbia, AL.  Her photos can be viewed on Facebook.

10/11/12 Update:  Sydney is one well traveled dog!  She was adopted by Deb Gaylord and transported to Louisiana, where after driving hundreds of miles to bring her home, he found that she was not fond of his Aussie, and it created a lot of stress in Rex’s household.  Even though Rex adored Sydney, she was not a match.  We were very lucky to have found Michele, who also drove hundreds of miles, brought Sydney home last night.  Sydney is one lucky dog!

Michelle writes:  The kids LOVE her. I don’t know if my son is going to sleep tonight.   He may stay by the kennel all night!!  Thanks so much for the joy you have given my family. My so now thinks this is our beloved Pal “reincarnated”!!
