Gemini the Aussie-Adopted

Gemini was rescued by Terry Watts in the Panama City area. She is a gorgeous, well-manner, and fully-trained, six-year old Aussie girl who weighs about 25 pounds, she’s mini-Aussie.

Gemini is being fostered in Clearwater by Lynne Deal. We’re looking forward to updates!

Gemini’s photos can be viewed on her personal Facebook Photo Album!

While Gemini’s eyes look different, that’s because they are! She, China and Velveteen have what’s called “marble eyes”. Marble eyes are very rare and extremely attractive.

Here are some photos of the rare marble eye found in the herding breed.

Holly writes: Gemini was dumped at the pound because her family could not afford her. Yesterday I had yet another discussion with someone who objected to our adoption fees (apparently we are supposed to work in the red). Bottom line for me is that if our adoption fees are prohibitive for you, you really can’t afford to take care of a dog. Expenses are more than a bag of Old Roy dog food, thank you very much. Heartworm preventive, flea preventive, annual shots, and Lord help you if the dog gets sick or hit by a car! ~ Holly

Lynne Deal writes: EXACTLY.. oh was that too loud?
My sentiments too, there is over 3000 dogs on petfinder some for 25 dollars,SOME FREE- if you cant afford the fee for these dogs please adopt another and dont complain, if your intention is to save a dog , then go do so…very simple

Adoption Update! Gemini has been adopted, and the following video tells the whole story!
