Lucille is Ready to Play! ~ Adopted

Three year old Lucille has been left outdoors all of her life, and was used to herd sheep, however, since a new breed, called the Hanging Cow Dog, has been developed, her owner has no use for her.

Lucille is being fostered by Jesse in Summerfield, FL and is doing quite well with his pack, and settling in. Of course, the first thing Jesse did was give her a bath! More information about Lucille’s temperament is coming soon.

New photos will can be seen on her Photo Album on Facebook.

November 19th Update:

Lucille has been adopted by Liberty Acres in Ocala. These three senior partners have 14 acres, with several dogs from Chihuahuas to Aussies, and a Burmese Mountain Dog, all mostly seniors. In addition they’ve some cats, a retired quarter horse, two thoroughbreed mares, two cows, a llama, and some freeroaming peacocks.

Could we have designed a better home for Lucille? I think not!

Barb writes: Hi, Just wanted you to know how thrilled we are with Lucille. She has met all the other dogs and is getting along well with them. Right now, she’s helping Jim make hot roast beef sandwiches for dinner. It didn’t take her long to zero in on the beef smells. She’s a real sweetheart and we thank you and Jessie for giving us the opportunity to love her. Barb
