Tim Tebow, what a gentleman! Adopted

Tim was found as a stray by animal control, where he stayed for almost 4 weeks, and Dee with Hale County HS met him and recommended us. Becky Harshman followed up, and here he is! He reminds me of our Braveheart. In the shelter, he looked shy, but he’s not, he is just a very polite young man! He will be fully vetted and neutered soon, and will find his way into someone’s heart. No doubt he will leave a permanent foot print in someone’s life. I estimate Tim Tebow at being about 1 1/2 years old.
Update 11/21/09: Tim Tebow does Ormond Beach! Serena and I took Tim out to Barnacles in Ormond Beach. He loved it! More details and photos to follow, but he’s great in the car, awesome on leash, the music didn’t scare him, he prefers the broiled fish and french fries, and loved the beach! We’ve been invited to do an adoption event there, and can’t wait to go back! Great service & Food! We’ll announce the event when we have a solid date!

Update 12/13/09: Tim Tebow was adopted today, and what a wonderful story this will make. Tim will be traveling with his new owner, a nurse, to meet patients and make new friends as a Companion/Service Dog. We can’t wait for new photos!

December 9, 2010 Update:

Just wanted to let you know that Beau completed his AKC Canine Good Citizen class last night. He’s one step closer to being a pet therapy dog. At every class the trainer says that he wishes Beau was his dog. Beau is a very happy boy, and we’re so grateful you found him for us!

Here’s a picture from this morning. Not sure what this says about me, but I have more pictures of Beau than of my sons this year.

Warm regards,

Brett and Connie

  1. Gisele,
Good Morning. I thought you might be curious as to how Beau is doing.
He has had a couple of good days. He has met some of the neighbors, both
2 and 4 legged . They think he is handsome. My son took him out for a walk yesterday and he indeed stopped traffic as someone stopped to say how handsome he is. We are working on a routine. Brett was home with him yesterday and he had a nice long walk in the am with him. I took him this morning and he does well on the leash. He seems to be a little skittish of cars though, nothing serious though. I have his vet appointment scheduled for next Monday. I am excited to show him to our vet as he has raised borders himself. I am sure he will be jealous of us!! He does like his food., but I guess I would too if I was a half-starved stray. We will be consistent with not feeding him from the table and that should help. We will probably start his dog training after the holidays. I teach piano today and he will meet some of my students today. I am sure they will love him. Thank-you again for saving him, we are so blessed to have him. We will continue to update you from time to time.
    Merry Christmas,
    Connie Hendley.

  2. August 3, 2010 update:

    Hi Gisele,

I wanted to let you know that I talked to Athena at the East Orlando Animal Hospital, and she said they're going to start a pet therapy class on Wednesdays beginning in September. We'll enroll Beau, and he should get his Canine Good Citizen there too.

He's still a great member of the pack, and believe it or not, he's letting his food sit in his bowl for hours some days. Quite a breakthrough for him.

    Brett
