3 Collie Pups
This is what we’re working on. Â These two boys, and one girl are in a shelter in Alabama, and we definitely want them. Â However we need your help. They have been diagnosed with Diagnosed with Idiopathic vestibular disease with aystagmus. We believe in our heart of hearts that this will go away and it may be a result of being dehydrated, emaciated, or an ear infection.
We have discussed their condition and are symptoms with our vet and our vet gave us the green light to rescue them. They are confident these dogs will recover and so are we.  Think Positive!
We have asked the shelter not to spay or neuter them. We cannot afford for them to be spayed/neutered, have the potential of getting kennel cough which in there delicate state could easily turn into pneumonia. We will not let that happen. We would like to be making chicken stew and we are getting their new foster home, Laura, ready so that we can nurture them back to health.
The Problem? Â Transport. Â We’re still trying, which is why your vote for the $25,000 Wells Fargo Grant is so important to us.
I spoke with the shelter director last night, and a volunteer this morning. Â Both used words I don’t like to hear… “If they make it.” Â Again I am told that they are skin and bones.
I hope to have some good news for you soon. Â We want to thank you for your donations. Â You have donated about half of what we will need for these three tiny pups, but yesterday we didn’t have a drop in the bucket! Â We’ll get there!
We have successfully transported these pups! Â Thanks to all of the wonderful transport volunteers! Â You can get updates on their individual pages.
