Daisy, the Bossie Renamed Pepper – Adopted

I received an adoption application from a wonderful woman named Rhonda. She was interested in Starbuck, the Aussie puppy. After talking with her for a while, we came to the conclusion that she really didn’t want a dog as large as Starbuck was going to be, she was intersted in a Border Collie but preferred the merle coloring, and she really wasn’t ready for a puppy! Rhonda and I discussed her Border Collie that had passed away not long ago. It was clear to me that her loss was still deeply felt.
I shared this information with Rebecca, Friday morning, August 14th, and Rebecca reminded me that three weeks ago, she had sent me a photo of a female Aussie that had been owner-surrendered with a litter of pups. Well – that was 3 weeks ago. The pups were ready to be adopted, and the Aussie, Daisy was ready to be spoiled by a family. Rebecca assured me that Daisy had been temperament tested, and passed with flying colors.
It just so happened that there was a transport in the works for Saturday, August 15th, and she asked me if I could find Daisy a home. I thought it was a great match.
Rhonda has a young child, but after spending some time with my family, Daisy proved that she loved kids, was gentle and kind.
Rhonda, and her husband Ryan, and her son, came to meet Daisy, and my matchmaking skills were not needed at all!
I’m anxious to see Daisy, now renamed Pepper, in a few months, after she has a theraputic bath, an excellent diet, and time to relax after the stress she has been through.
Tina, the new owner of Mel, the Border Collie, informed me that a Border Collie / Aussie mix is referred to as a “bossie”. Now that’s cute!
Daisy really made her mark here in my home. Everyone fell in love with her, including my dogs and my kids. She’s going to be an awesome dog.
