Flapper the Border Collie Puppy ~ Adopted

Flapper is one of a litter of five Border Collie puppies that we rescued from Gordon County Animal Control. This rural shelter is so over run with animals that the chances of a dog making it out alive is remote. We’re glad that we were able to save this litter at the last minute
These are lovely puppies. I estimate that they were born in early March. They came to me very thin but well socialized, so I suspect that whoever had them cared for them but couldn’t afford to keep them. Flapper has an area above her right eye that has sparse hair, due to inadequate diet. She is already beautiful; I can just imagine what she will look like after a few weeks of good nutrition!
Flapper is a rough coated Border Collie. To help identify her easily in group photos, I gave her an pink collar. She is very distinct with classic border collie markings: white on her face, feet, tail and full collar.
Flapper is being fostered in Winter Park. You can enjoy many photos of her in her photo album. If you think that you might want to give her a forever home, please first review our Dog Tips page and then read our Adoption Process and e-mail holly.thedogliberator@gmail.com
June 2nd Update:
Today was Flapper’s special day. Today she went to her forever home with Jennifer. And what a busy home that will be! Among her many activities is running, and Jennifer is looking forward to running races with her new best friend!
