Valentine is a 2 year old female Collie girl. She is quite the doll and is still learning how to play with other dogs, so while she seems to socialize well, we would love to find her a home where she can be the primary princess! She would do well as an only dog with no cats or small children (she likes to herd and doesn’t quite know her own size).

She is truly a collie in her personality: determined, loving, clever, and she does have a bit of a herding instinct. She can play well with other dogs, though she currently seems like she could take it or leave it. She isn’t rough or excessive in her play with other dogs, but does need to be supervised as she is still figuring out how to play, and sometimes tries to herd her playmates instead. She loves people (& craves affection). Valentine is so clever she has already figured out how to work latches & doors. She has not shown any food hoarding tendencies while in foster, and is good about taking pills.
And a true blonde (we say this with all the love in our hearts) she can be a little ditzy from time to time and occasionally those walls just come out of nowhere; But try not to hold it against her.
She is learning basic commands and is a quick study (did we mention “smart?”). She can be determined, and will need a good pack leader who is willing to let her know the rules and be consistent with her. We believe with good boundaries she will flourish into an amazing family member and loving best friend.
