Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia
Never has anything been so true when you foster a dog!
Hollyberry was a bit shy and in unfamiliar surroundings when we first got her, but a collie is always a collie! She is smart, ladylike, and if you look at that face and those eyes there is no doubt of that collie sweetness.
A touch, a kind word and a small act of caring and after just two short weeks, she has become the collie she was always meant to be! She loves to play with her toys and has developed her own strategy of hide and seek with Arabela! She loves the cat, but chases her to play hide and seek too… something the cat would rather not have any part of. So yes, she is very good with dogs and cats!
She is housebroken and crate trained and often just likes to hang in her crate. I think that is so she does not have to share her marrow bones with Arabela!
Her most favorite place is on your lap licking your face. In other words…unlimited supply of kisses. She loves everyone! Except maybe those annoying squirrels in the backyard!
I want to say she is the PERFECT dog, but her personality is just too people like!
We have fallen in love with this beautiful girl who deserves her own special family! By the way, why the name Hollyberry….her birthday is December 24th! Now how much more could you ask for Christmas!!!
Hollyberry is ready for her forever home, she’s has passed the Collie Boot Camp! I think Lassie would write Hollyberry fan mail. So if Timmy falls in the well near your place, give Hollyberry a call!
You can view more photos of Hollyberry on her Facebook Page.
Cyndy and I talked today about Hollyberry today and all I can say is, what an interesting dog! Hollyberry doesn’t like dogs her size, but she adores small dogs. She doesn’t tolerate small dogs, no, she adores them!!! She is forever trying to get Cyndy’s King Charles and Chihuahua to play with her, but doesn’t want to be anywhere near the other collie in the house. And she adores people. Truly, she is a velcro dog. Not only that, but she thinks she is a lap dog. Picture yourself with 55 pounds of fur sitting in your lap! Great with kids of all ages too. I find her simply fascinating. Beautiful and quirky ~ perfect! This girl needs to go home for the holidays. Where is her family???
