Noah, the Perfect Dog!

Noah, the Perfect Dog!

Noah comes to us from Hall County, Georgia. With the help of Vicki Truelove, Kathy Keith, Khaz & Steve and Larry & Joyce Ashlock, we had a smooth transport. Noah allowed the two pups that were transported with him (Grits & Gravy) to chew and pull on his ears, tackle him repeatedly, and he loved every minute of it. He walked away from Khaz’s cat, and got along with Corgi, which she said was a shock!

Noah was picked up as a stray. He is heartworm negative, and is incredibly healthy. He currently weighs about 58 pounds, and judging by his feet, I don’t think he’s finished growing yet! Holly and I have bounced around some breed ideas, but to be honest, without a DNA test, we are only guessing. What we do know is he’s gorgeous.

Noah is very good with young children, other dogs, cats, puppies, is housebroken, and is a quiet dog. Unfortunately, it’s raining today so I can’t video tape him with the pack, but he has met Ozzie. Personally, I think even Lady Di is going to welcome him and invite him to play. I also believe that China will fall in love with him!

Updates coming soon!

His entire photo album can be viewed on Facebook.

Adoption Update:  Noah was adopted by the Sweeney Family, who over a year ago adopted Bling!   Here’s an update!

Just to update, I know we have been out of touch due to the family crisis we wrote you about previously. We have marked yes, to attend the fall reunion and pray things are much improved by then. We can’t wait for there to be some semblance of normalcy in our lives again but it won’t be for a little bit yet. Once things do settle down some, we would love to get back on your transport list and honestly will look forward to it.

Nougat and Cooper have been a God send through this and have really helped to ground us at times when things have gotten really difficult. He was meant to come to us at the time he did, at least that is the way we look at. Being able to laugh and experience joy when watching them play or whatever has been wonderful. We can’t wait to update you with pics. You wouldn’t believe how much fun he has playing, we do mean playing, and he is a growler. Cooper in the last few weeks has even started initiating play with Nougat. He has also started to play with toys, you remember how he kind of just looked at the toys not knowing what to do about them, and they have even started playing tug of war with them in the past week. We describe it as Cooper is finally getting to just be a dog and enjoy a dog’s life. He loves going for car rides now but he is still nervous, ducking the head down or turning away, when people come up to greet him. That will take time and patience, and plenty of socializing. He still loves to be near his humans and close to his sister, Nougat, but has recently started to venture a little on his own. Nougat has been amazing with him and helped calm him down, like on his first visits to the dog park, vet, or pet store, coming across people on walks, etc.

Oh, and this boy has no problem eating dry food or any food for that matter, and there is no problem between the two over their food. He does eat fast, no surprise considering he was a stray, so the food dispensers (see pic) work great. He loves them and it slows down his eating, which of course is better for his digestion. We have different dispensers, that have different ways for them to figure out how to get the food out, making them work for their food, which they absolutely love.

You are welcome to post this, to give everyone an update.

Dawn & Ron, Nougat & Cooper
